Department Vision 

In the MFL department, we strive to instil in our scholars a passion for language and culture, shaping them into international citizens of the future. Scholars in MFL develop confidence through communicating in the target language in lessons, build resilience by not being afraid to make mistakes, and partake in a range of extracurricular activities, events, and trips. Learning a language is not only about developing speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills, but also about deepening cultural knowledge and seeing the world from a global perspective. Studying a language to GCSE and A Level leaves scholars prepared to enter and have a competitive edge in an increasingly globalised workplace.
