House System

At Beths, our inclusive house system is a key part of our community spirit. It enables our students to thrive as they develop the skills to be ambitious and resilient, work as a team, and participate in a range of activities which promote leadership and personal development.

Each Beths student is assigned to one of our six houses, named after places in Bexley and the surrounding area. Every student proudly represents their house with correlating ties and each form group is part of the same house, fostering a sense of togetherness and belonging and inclusivity. Below are the houses that students will be allocated to:

Abbey

Brampton

Cray

Eardley

Hurst

Wickham

We hold a series of popular inter-house competitions every year which cover languages, performing arts and sports, where students earn points for their House by participating in these activities. Academic excellence is also recognised through commendations given to individual students This also feeds into the annual House Cup which is awarded to the highest-performing House each year.

Our Houses are led by our fantastic sixth form students as House Captains, who are nominated each year by their peers. We are pleased to introduce our House Captain team for this year:

Top Team

Alongside our house system, we also have a brilliant “Top Team” of students, comprising our Head Girl and Boy and Deputy Heads. These students play an essential part in school life, representing student voice, working with senior leaders to inform decisions about the future of the school, and representing Beths to external audiences, including perspective parents. They also service as inspiring and welcoming role models to their peers.

Like the house system, the Top Team are nominated by their peers each year. This year, our team comprises:
