We know how important it is for our students to have the opportunity to express themselves and explore their talents beyond the curriculum. That is why we provide a significant range of opportunities for our students to get involved in a variety of extracurricular and enrichment activities, from sports to the arts and more.
We encourage every one of our scholars to take part in multiple opportunities to help them grow into grounded, well-rounded and interesting young people with the teamwork, leadership and communication skills needed to thrive in the modern world.
We have a history of excellence in:
- Performing Arts: we place music as a central part of our curriculum and host plays and musical showcases each year so our students can get involved in all aspects of performance and production.
- Modern Foreign Languages: we understand the opportunities speaking another language can bring, setting Beths students aside from peers when applying to university and entering the world of work. We are rated number one in the UK for the delivery of our innovative Mandarin Excellence Programme.
- Sports: we offer everything from football, rugby and basketball to athletics, cricket and volleyball, so there is a sport for every student.
- Trips and expeditions: we complement both curriculum learning and personal development by providing a range of valuable trips and expeditions. From visits to the theatre and sports excursions to the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme and subject trips to China, Athens and Naples and even our famous Year 8 Camp in the New Forest, we ensure our students are enriched well beyond the classroom.
- Lunchtime and after-school clubs: we offer the opportunity for our scholars to dive deeper into their interests and passions. We provide a Tennis Club, Film Club, Robotics Club, STEM Club, Law Society, Debate Club, Eco Club and so much more.
