Our Super Curriculum
We have our own bespoke Super Curriculum, created especially to stretch and challenge our students. We know how important it is for our scholars to develop a love of learning and a thirst for knowledge to help them be successful both within the school and beyond. Therefore, our Super Curriculum is designed to support students to follow their interests and delve deeper into subjects they enjoy.
The Super Curriculum encourages students to take on activities that will enhance and support their regular curriculum studies. It provides a variety of innovative reading, research, watching, listening, creative and writing student-led tasks to promote their independent and group learning. These activities may be conducted during break and lunch times at school or outside of school independently, with family members or with friends.
Examples of the Super Curriculum in action include:
- For KS3 Art, students can join the KS3 Art Club and offer to lead a session or watch Tate Shots to learn more about artwork at the Tate Britain
- For KS4 French, students can deepen their learning by cooking a traditional French dish or delivering a three-minute news presentation in French about a current issue in the French-speaking world to a peer, friend or family member
- For KS5 Business, students may wish to read Lord Alan Sugar’s book, ‘What You See is What You Get’ or visit the Bank of England Museum in London.
The Super Curriculum can also set our students apart from their peers when applying to top universities, helping to demonstrate their commitment to their studies and in-depth knowledge and appreciation for their subject of choice.
