A Level Curriculum
Our A Level curriculum is designed to nurture and stretch our students to achieve their potential and become true Beths Scholars. In our selective and inclusive sixth form, we develop our students further, change their perceptions of how to study, help them foster a deeper love for lifelong learning and ultimately, help students become independent, successful and self-motivated individuals who are ready to move on to the rest of their lives.
As a part of our holistic curriculum, our students take a minimum of three A-Levels and follow our Elective Enrichment Programme, which includes the Extended Project Qualification, Physical Education, Mentoring or Life Skills to name but a few.
Our sixth form students benefit from a choice of more than 30 A Level subjects detailed in the Sixth Form Prospectus. Examples include Ancient History; Business Education; Economics; Engineering; Further Mathematics; Government and Politics; Law; Photography; and Psychology, as well as subjects studied at GCSE level. We offer more contact time per subject to enable our students to follow their passions and learn from our experts.
Enrichment
Students enjoy weekly enrichment activities designed to prepare them for their future careers, including community placements and voluntary work, subject mentoring, music, drama, and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). This programme is important in developing well-rounded students who positively contribute to our wider community and are inclusive of all people, as well as helping them to gain key life skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication and confidence to take with them into the working world.
