Beths Grammar School students excited for future as they open A Level results

Students and staff at Beths Grammar School, located on Hartford Road in Bexley, are celebrating after achieving another excellent year of A Level results. Many students are now preparing to progress to the university, apprenticeship or job of their choice.

More than half of all A Level grades were awarded at A* to B, reflecting the hard work and dedication of the school’s post-16 students. Nine students have gone on to read medicine. Among the individual successes, one student achieved four A* grades and six students achieved three A* grades. Overall, 11 students secured two or more A* grades, with 34 students achieving at least one A*, demonstrating the strength of achievement across the cohort.

While all students have done well, there are some standout individual achievements. These include:

• Daksh S who achieved four A*s in computing, physics, mathematics and further mathematics is going to Imperial to read mathematics and computer science.
• Alex W who achieved three A*s in electronics, physics and mathematics and grade B in further mathematics is going to The University of Southampton to read electrical and electronic engineering.
• Mohamed A who achieved three A*s in biology, mathematics and physics and two As in chemistry and further mathematics is going to UCL to read medicine.
• Martha H who achieved three A*s in biology, history and sociology is going to UCL to read psychology.
• Ronnie P who achieved three A*s in English literature, religious studies and business studies and is going to the University of Oxford to read English language and literature.
• Thulasychelvan S who achieved three A*s in mathematics, biology and chemistry is going to Queen Mary’s University of London to read biomedical sciences.
• Mustafa A who achieved two A*s in economics and mathematics and two As in further mathematics and computing is going to Durham University to read mathematics.
• Khaleed Y who achieved two A*s in mathematics and business Studies and grade A in Economics is going to City St George’s, University of London to read accounting and finance.
• Dinoshithan V who achieved two A*s in biology and mathematics and a grade A in chemistry is going to Aston University to read medicine.
• Simisola E who achieved two A*s in biology and chemistry and grade A in mathematics is going to the University of Birmingham to read medicine.
• Shezei A who achieved two A*s in economics and psychology and grade A in mathematics is going to the University of Bristol to read electrical and electronic engineering.
• Janice A who achieved two A*s in economics and psychology and grade A in English literature is going to Warwick University to read law.

The following students are also going on to prestigious degree-level apprenticeships:

• Dominik G, joining Rolls Royce to pursue manufacturing engineering, said ‘Beths was a place to flourish’.
• Jayda N is joining Martin Arnold as a quantity surveying apprentice.
• Ellio G is joining BA Systems as an engineering apprentice.
• Other students are heading off to companies such as KPMG, JP Morgan and EY.

“Focus on yourself and your grades. It doesn’t matter where you start, it’s where you end up.  Beths pushed me and I’m so grateful for that.”
